Traditional farmhouse contrasts with sleek and modern extension

Now that working from home has rapidly become a permanent feature of life, more and more people in the Netherlands are building an extension to their home. However, you will not often come across such an unusual extension as the one built to Eric Manders' house in Bathmen. Eric is Business Director at Rockpanel and, as such, there was no doubt in his mind about the selection of the materials he wanted to use for the facade of his new home office. The Rockpanel Woods facade panels, which are vertically installed in three different widths, give the extension a sleek and modern look and feel that matches perfectly with the traditional farmhouse.

Striking renovation of rear facade of Rotterdam housing association residences

Rotterdam’s Van Lennepstraat has undergone a major metamorphosis. On the street side, the original expressive character of the 1920s facades has been restored. The out-dated rear facade has made way for a playful design with three designs of Rockpanel Woods facade panels. With this renovation, not only the street but the entire neighbourhood has received a major facelift.

A warm and open appearance for KA Pegasus

The new school building of the KA Pegasus school in Belgian Ostend, which was completed in 2016, proves that bold architecture can also pay off in school construction. The design by architectural firm Urban Platform focuses on complementarity and contrast between the materials used. The striking windows are alternated with facade cladding with a warm, authentic look. The choice fell on Rockpanel Woods Teak cladding. “An aesthetically high-quality, cost-effective and maintenance-friendly solution,” the architects say.

Housing project refurbishment combines fire safety and design - Bièvre towers Antony Paris

In France, the traditional way of creating firesafe buildings is with 'bavettes': a local type of firestops that place a strong, usually less desired mark on the look of a building. With Rockpanel facade boards, optimum fire safety is guaranteed, while at the same time being able to create a visually impressive building.

Rockpanel Woods gives extension ‘De Pijl’ a warm and homely character

De Pijl in Hoeilaart (Belgium) offers special youth care services for children aged 5-14 and their families. There were two buildings on the De Pijl site, each housing a group of children. Ypsilon Architecten was asked to design a new building that needed to become a home for a third living group, as well as providing some office space. The facade finish with Rockpanel Woods contributes to the homely appearance of the new building.
